The Panel Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 October 2026
Last updated: October 2026
This policy covers "consumer health data" as Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law and Connecticut's Data Privacy Act define it. The Panel is operated by an individual developer based in the Philippines, published through an Apple Developer Program individual account (support@appsbynikki.com). Our full Privacy Policy is at https://www.appsbynikki.com/the-panel/privacy.
1. What we collect, and why
The Panel doesn't ask for health information. If you choose to include information about your physical or mental health in a question, an AI answer you paste in for a Second Opinion, or context you add, we collect it as part of that content, together with the AI answers and analysis generated from it. We use it only to:
(a) produce the result you asked for;
(b) keep it in your History unless you turn Save Run History off (it is on for new accounts; you can turn it off, set auto-delete, or delete any run, in Account → Data & privacy);
(c) run our automated safety check, which blocks harmful content and shows you support resources if a question involves self-harm; and
(d) enforce our Usage Policy: if a question counts against your account under it, we keep the words you wrote for 90 days.
We do not infer health information from anything else, use it for advertising, sell it, or use it to train AI models.
2. Where it comes from
From you, and from the AI answers generated from what you submit.
3. Who receives it
Only to produce your result and run the safety check, the content described above (and so any health information you included) goes to:
Our service providers Cloudflare (network), Fly.io (server) and Supabase (database) carry or store it for us. We have no affiliates. We do not sell consumer health data.
4. Your rights
You can:
- confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data and get a copy of it, with the list in section 3 (Export My Data in the app, or email us);
- delete it: a single run from its result screen, or everything by deleting your account. Deleted data leaves our database backups within 7 days. When you ask us to delete consumer health data, we also pass your request on to OpenRouter and to each AI company listed in section 3, as Washington and Nevada law require, and they must honour it under those laws. We can't check their systems ourselves; our Privacy Policy (§6) summarises what each says it keeps otherwise;
- withdraw your permission for us to share your content (Account → Data & privacy).
We respond within 45 days (we may extend this once by 45 days and will tell you why). Requests are free. If we refuse, you can appeal by emailing support@appsbynikki.com with "Appeal" in the subject line; we decide within 45 days and explain in writing. If we still refuse, you can complain to the Washington Attorney General (https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint), the Nevada Attorney General (https://ag.nv.gov/Complaints/File_Complaint/), or the Connecticut Attorney General (https://portal.ct.gov/ag).
5. Tracking
No other company collects information about your activity in The Panel over time or across other apps or websites.
6. Changes
We tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. We will ask for your consent before collecting new kinds of health data or using it for a new purpose.
